"Hidden Memory, Revealed Memory, Inspiration, Concentration and Quietus."
A set of 5 scholar’s objects consisting of: 1 . “Hidden Memory “ a large inkstone (砚yan) in local metamorphosed sedimentary stone this is boxed in a softwood box stained with earth pigment from New Byth and decorated with poker work. 2. “Revealed Memory” a brush rest (筆山 bǐshān) in the same stone with a hardwood stand. 3. “Inspiration” a picture seal(肖形印 xiaoxing yin) in black and white quartz pebble with sheep horn toggle engraved with an abstract pattern with a hardwood stand. 4. “Concentration” a wrist rest (臂搁Bì gē) in gean wood (wild cherry) underneath two poker-work chilong 螭龍. 5. “Quietus” a brushpot (筆筒bitong) in laburnum wood.
